Cupcakes have captivated the nation.Who can resist a cupcake,and what is it that makes them so appealing?Why are they loved by children s.and adult alike? Perhap it is their size that makes them so tempting-after all,you can have an individual,diminutive cake all to yourself!There are several theories on the origin of cupcakes,and they probably all have some truth in them.Some people believe that,as these little cakes were originally baked in cups,which evident in some old cookbooks,this is how they came to be called cupcakes.Other people believe that the name may have come from the amount of the basic ingredients used to make a cake,with the addition of eggs and any flavouring.Fluted paper baking cases retain the cakes.The usual sizes foe cases are mini,measuring 3 cm;standard measuring 4.5cm;and large(muffin)measuring 5.5cm.They also available in various colours,the most usual being white or brown,but they are also available in silver,gold,and printed with decoration.
There are even reusable baking cases available,which are made of of silicone,and are brigthly coloured.Cup cakes can also be made in flexible ovenware cupcake moulds,but these are used without the paper cases and obviously the resulting cupcakes do not look quite the same.
I began my passion in baking cupcakes after observing its potential market in Malaysia. Surprisingly, my observation lead me to realize how few cakes house or bakery shop sell cupcakes.I then strive to learn(myself) how to make cupcakes at home on line.The result of this passion is my home made original delicious cupcakes for you to try out.I can personally guaranteed you that you will be 100% satisfied with the taste.To all cupcakes lovers in Malaysia,let love cupcakes forever....! titinecupcakes...2008
